Folded is a wardrobe app for iPhone. These are the terms for using it, the Folded letter, and this website. They are written to be read.
Folded is sold through the App Store as a one-time purchase. Your licence to use it is Apple's standard end user licence agreement, and these terms sit alongside it. Where the two differ, Apple's agreement wins. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or for support.
The licence is for you, on Apple devices you own or control, for personal use. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app, or take it apart beyond what the law expressly allows.
Everything you put into Folded — photographs, names, looks, the Wanted list, your details — is yours. It stays on your device and we never see it. Because it never reaches us, we cannot restore it: if you delete the app, or lose the phone, the data goes with it. Use Settings → Back up my closet to keep your own copy.
Only add photographs you have the right to use.
Outfit suggestions are made from what you have told the app, the weather, and your calendar. They are suggestions. Whether something is right for the day, the occasion or the weather is your call.
Joining the letter is optional. We send it roughly once a month, and every issue carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. How we handle your address is set out in the privacy policy.
Folded fetches the weather from Open-Meteo and delivers the letter through Kit. Links you add to your Wanted list open other people's websites in a browser. We do not control those services or sites, and their own terms apply when you use them.
We work to keep Folded reliable and useful, and we fix what we can when you tell us about it. But the app is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of the app, the letter or this website — including lost data, which is why the backup exists.
Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
folded.style is a small set of pages: this one, the privacy policy, a support page and a landing page. It sets no cookies and runs no scripts. You may link to it freely.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use Folded after a change means you accept the new terms.
