Folded is a wardrobe kept on your phone. Almost nothing you put into it ever leaves the device.
There are no accounts, no servers of ours, and no analytics. Your photographs, your clothes, your saved looks and the details you enter during setup are stored on your phone and nowhere else. The only thing Folded ever sends out is your approximate location, and only to fetch the weather.
All of this lives in the app's own storage on your phone. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. We cannot see any of it.
Weather. If you allow location access, Folded sends your coordinates to Open-Meteo to look up the current temperature and conditions, so outfit suggestions match the day. The request contains only those coordinates. No name, no device identifier, nothing else. If you deny location access, Folded uses a default and everything else keeps working.
That is the complete list. Folded's typefaces are bundled inside the app rather than fetched from a font service, so no third party is contacted when you open it, and the app works with no signal at all.
Every one of these is optional. Decline any of them and the rest of the app still works.
When you share a closet receipt or export a backup, the file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. Folded does not send it anywhere on your behalf.
Deleting a piece removes it from your closet immediately. Deleting the app from your phone removes everything Folded has stored, permanently. Because none of it reaches us, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to erase.
Folded is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. As above, no personal information reaches us in any case.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the app.
